The Emmy-award winning team at Brainstorm Digital‘s New York VFX studio announces Eran Dinur as Visual Effects Supervisor.
Dinur has served as Brainstorm Digital‘s Composting Supervisor for the past year. Previously he was Brainstorm’s Senior Compositor in addition to being the Senior Compositor at Industrial Light and Magic Singapore, and Framestore NY. He has created visual effects for blockbuster films including "Iron Man," "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," "Star Trek," "Terminator Salvation," "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" and "Salt."
At Brainstorm Digital Dinur will now bring his talents as a Supervisor to the HBO award-winning series “Boardwalk Empire” and History’s new mini-series, “The Men Who Built America.” Dinur is also an award-winning music composer, an instructor at fxphd.com, and a regular contributor to 3D World Magazine.
Dinur’s rise at Brainstorm Digital comes on the heels of the Emmy awarded to the studio for its work in collaboration with the award-winning director, Martin Scorsese, and VFX Supervisors Robert Stromberg (two-time Academy Award winner) and Dave Taritero (two-time Emmy winner), on HBO’s "Boardwalk Empire" in the category of Outstanding Special Visual Effects for a Series 2011. Earlier this year, Brainstorm also won the two top Visual Effects Society (VES) awards for their work on "Boardwalk Empire."
"It’s an exciting time to have Eran assume the role of Senior Supervisor for the studio. He’s been the driving force behind all our work for the past year," says Brainstorm Digital‘s CEO, Rich Friedlander. “Eran brings a dynamic level of creative and technical expertise to our studio.” Brainstorm’s senior artists, Matthew Connor and Jun Zhang, have just received a nomination from the Hollywood Post Alliance in the category of Outstanding Compositing – Television, for their work on "Boardwalk Empire." The HPA awards will be announced in Los Angeles on November 10th, 2011.
