Bongo Post & Music Hires SF One Union Editor to Staff Position
We are pleased to announce the addition of Ryan Sibitz to the position of Audio Post Mixer / Sound Designer. Ryan comes to us from One Union Recording of San Francisco as an Audio Post Editor for the last 7 years.
His background is stellar and extensive through working for such clients as Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, McCann Erickson, Gardner Geary Coll, J Walter Thompson and Macy’s to name a few.
While Audio Post Editor he worked with the above Creative Directors and Producers on many major accounts such as HP, Comcast, Budweiser, Travelocity, Ford etc as Editor and Mixer. As a very astute Music Engineer and Editor, he found himself working with Primus and TV Shows such as Dirty Jobs and American Chopper for The Discovery Channel. Ryan worked his way up from the bottom as most accomplished editors do; starting as an intern and then being promoted through the ranks at One Union of SF. He brings a quality that is paramount for all Bongo editors and that is to be very music driven because as founder Bob Smith of Bongo Post has noted, “all the great Sound Designers come from music engineering backgrounds. When an engineer has worked with the complexity of tracking music, they bring a certain command to Audio Post mixes that is both musical and balanced within its depths. A singer is like a VO talent or actor; the backing tracks of music is like the sound design that’s built in and the complexities of music within a commercial track leaves the mix to be a very complex beast that can become like music in the right hands of a mixer.” We are proud to have him on our staff at Bongo and look forward to all of our clients and friends meeting and working with him soon.
