Securing its position as one of Hollywood’s top ADR houses, Blue Room Post (BRP) has announced the slate of television projects for which the company has been, and is currently, providing those services.
At BRP’s Hollywood facility, located at Raleigh Studios, they just completed the third consecutive year of providing ADR services for TNT’s hit series “The Closer.” According to TNT, 9.1 million viewers tuned in to watch "The Closer’s" series finale which recently aired, making it cable TV’s highest rated telecast of the summer. In addition, 7.2 million viewers then watched the series premiere of TNT’s "Major Crimes," the spin-off series of "The Closer,” for which BRP also provides ADR services.
BRP regularly provides ADR services to other top TV shows, which include “Private Practice,” “Castle,” “Dallas” and “Longmire.” BRP offers ADR for all of the above mentioned TV series through the company’s Hollywood facility.
Working through Blue Room Post’s main campus in Manhattan Beach, the company provides ADR services for ABC’s hit series “Revenge” and the CW’s “90210” franchise. Additionally from Manhattan Beach, BRP supplied source ADR for Marvel Entertainment’s feature films “Iron Man 2” and “Thor,” and temp ADR for the summer blockbuster movies “The Avengers” and “Captain America.”
“We are delighted to play a small role in the success of many of the most popular television programs currently airing on network and cable television,” said John Harris, founder of Blue Room Post.
Adds “Revenge” Producer Ted Babcock, “We shoot ‘Revenge’ at Raleigh, Manhattan Beach, and our post and writers offices are in Hollywood, so the fact that Blue Room Post has facilities in both locations is extremely convenient for us. We don’t have to drive our actors anywhereโit’s a win win situation all around. We also love working with Dicken Berglund, a terrific ADR Mixer who provides us with great quality tracks, always adapts to our schedule, and fits us right in. They are highly accommodating and their looping services are top notch.”
Patrick Coleman, Co-Producer, “90210,” said, “We did a little work with Blue Room Post last year, when they provided us with some data management. But for our ADR work for this year, Season 5 of our show, a number of people in the industry kept recommending them to us. We knew they were good, honest guys, and that the quality of their work was top notch. They’re really on the edge of having expertise with the latest technology, and often stand ahead of the curve from their competitors in that regard. Of course, convenience also plays a big part in our relationship, since we shoot our show at Raleigh in Manhattan Beach, and we use Blue Room’s facilities located there. We’re able to get our actors over to BRP in between setups, and they provide us with great sound that fits in perfectly with our production audio.”
Blue Room Post offers its clients the skills of some of Hollywood’s most talented Mixers and ADR experts. BRP’s roster includes Dicken Berglund, Mike Patterson and Nick Couscouris for television and feature films.
