<a href="http://www.blingimaging.com.“>Bling Imaging, a creator of animation and visual effects for film and broadcast, announced today that they have completed work on three spots for Sony Ericsson C702 phones.
The Live Action was produced for the Latin Market by Aluna Films and shot on the RED One Camera with Director Simon Brand (“Paraiso Travel,” “Unknown”) and Director of Photography Maz Makhani (Ipod “Stereo Rock,” Miller Light “Pool Party”). <a href="http://www.blingimaging.com.“>Bling Imaging handled the Online Editorial and transcoding of RED Raw material for the final spots.
The animation produced for McCann-Erickson, included the spot “University” and the spot “Work.” “University” starts in a live action classroom setting with the professor reading names off of an attendance list. However, when he reaches one of the names who is absent, he asks where the student is, only to get a photo printout of the student water skiing. The camera then pulls out to reveal that we are actually on a 3D CGI Animated Map, and we fly through areas on the map until we pull out through the screen of a GPS locator on the phone. Similarly, the spot “Work” takes us from an office setting through a photo of a rock climbing expedition of an employee, who is playing hookie from work. Both spots end with the phone flipping over to reveal its ability to take a photo with its built-in Cyber-shot camera. The phone then gets splashed by water to show off its splash resistance.
Using the Flame system, <a href="http://www.blingimaging.com.“>Bling Imaging handled all the green screen composites, conform editorial, and finishing for the project. Additionally, the 3D GPS Map and Photorealistic 3D Phone animation was produced using Maya 2009 and Next Limit’s Realflow for the water splashes. Motion Graphic elements of the GPS Map were further enhanced to give the illusion of perspective shifting through the shot using Autodesk’s Toxik 2009 Compositing system.
Stationed behind the Stages in Smashbox Studio’s West Hollywood location, Bling offers post production services using Autodesk Flame, Toxik 2009, Maya 2009 and Next Limit’s Realflow.
