These are the award categories with a cumulated prize money of 10,000 €:
— 3D SPACE AWARD – computer-generated 3D animations

— MACHINIMA AWARD – films shot live inside computer games

New in 2009: the POLITICOOL AWARD which features digital animations and mash-ups
with a political message. “In the last years our users have submitted more and more political films”, the festival’s director Aaron Koenig comments this innovation. “The Internet is full of digital animations and mash-ups on political issues. In Germany we have a year of many elections, the ‘Superwahljahr’, and our new host city Tel Aviv is located in the politically very complex and interesting middle east, so it was just natural for us to introduce this new section .”
Films may be submitted until July 1 under www.bitfilm.com/festival
