The magazine sets itself apart from its contemporaries by creating for an audience that is not only interested in fashion, but is politically and socially aware.
The September Issues also gives back to women by donating a portion of its proceeds from each issue to an organization that supports women. The first issue supports Planned Parenthood.
The ultimate goal is to make fashion, an industry intrinsically linked with the rights of women, a feminist issue.
Following a successful launch in the UK and Europe, the magazine officially became available in the US on November 10. An online auction of magazine prints will be hosted by Paddle 8 at https://paddle8.com/auction/the-september-issues/. All proceeds will go to Planned Parenthood
“At a quick look this might be one of the more intriguing magazines we’ve had as of late. The September Issues is a female empowerment magazine pushing out from a base that embraces the sophistication of The Gentlewoman and Riposte but is looser, less self-consciously designed to deliver a widescreen mix of inspirational, creative, and socially aware content.” – Magalleria
