PostWorks, New York’s leading provider of post production services for film and television, has appointed Beth Simon as Executive Vice President and Managing Director. Formerly Vice President of Operations and Client Services at Ascent Media, Northvale, New Jersey, Simon will direct operations at all of PostWorks‘ New York facilities and will also oversee sales and marketing as the company continues to diversify and reach out to new markets.
“Beth brings exceptional experience in both operations and sales management to PostWorks; she also has a proven track record for helping companies grow,” said David S. Rosen, chairman of Telecorps, PostWorks‘ parent company. “PostWorks is committed to growing its competitive position in New York, and we are pleased to have Beth join our team as we work to achieve that goal.”
Simon described PostWorks as occupying a unique place in its market and well positioned to capitalize on changes that are reshaping the post production industry. “PostWorks is a very successful company and I want to help broaden that success,” she said. “Having lived and worked in the New York post production community for many years, I know the market well, and I see this as an opportunity to apply all of my skills and experience on behalf of a great company.”
At Ascent Media, Simon headed a division that provided duplication, conversion and media management services to film and television clients. She previously served as the division’s Senior Vice President of Sales. Her background also includes posts as Managing Director of Post Logic, New York, and Co-Managing Director and Partner of Magno International, New York, both post-production facilities.
With regard to her new role, Simon stated that she is excited to be working again in post production and in particular with a company that is its market leader. She added that she was impressed with PostWorks‘ commitment to work at the forefront of technology.
“The opportunity to run the largest post production operation in New York is a huge challenge,” said Simon of her new role. “This is a very well established company with a smart, dedicated staff who are very good at what they do and have earned a reputation for quality. I am thrilled to be here.”
