LA Based Beef Films and Chop House Edit unveiled the advertising and marketing campaign for this year’s Palm Springs International Film Festival, taking place from January 5th-18th. Executive Producers Ashley Adams, Stephen Hens and Founding Director Nick Spooner along with teams Beef and Chop were hard at work the past few months creating what they hoped would impress and inspire attendees at the 14-day festival event in Palm Springs.
Working as a forward-thinking collaborative culture, Beef and Chop rebranded the look and feel for this year’s festival by promoting today’s young, filmmaking culture while still addressing the core of what it takes to be a filmmaker.
The project encapsulated the exploration of a fantastical “zoetrope” theme with the tagline, “Vision. Persistence.”
The live action portion of the campaign was written and directed by Founding Director Nick Spooner of Beef Films. Cinematography was done by Christophe Lanzenberg. Music score was written and composed by Andrew Bush of Grandma’s Warehouse. Chop House Edit completed all the design elements for the campaign including editorial, visual effects, motion design and finishing.
Considered one of the foremost cultural events of the year, attendance to the festival is expected to be over 130,000 people. The theatrical trailer will be seen at over 400 screenings and at a number of VIP events.
Company Credits include: John Malina, Senior Producer; Lead Editor, Jaime Arze; Josh Lewis, Graphic Designer; Frederick Dennestedt, Motion Designer; Visual Effects Artist, Michael Shelton.
