The award-winning editorial house Beast, a Deluxe company, has promoted Luis Eduardo Flores (Guicho) to Editor, handling all of the company’s Texas-based Hispanic work as well as general market projects.
Flores has been an Assistant Editor at Beast for two years, joining the company from LatinWorks where he spent three years as an Editor and Content Producer. He has worked on projects for top brands including Anheuser-Busch, Lowes, Jack Daniel’s, Cricket Wireless and El Pollo Loco. His personal work includes producing and directing music videos for emerging Latino artists and promoting Hispanic culture through narrative video projects and photography; with work exhibited in Monterrey’s Centro de las Artes and Museo de Arte de Sonora. A native of Monterrey, Mexico, Flores also produced and directed the feature-length documentary “La Perla de la Huasteca” about the surrealistic garden of Xilita and is currently finishing post-production on “Primos Hermanos,” a TV series project about Hispanic youth in Texas.
“Beast is a great place to be,” said Flores. “It’s a big national company with a lot of resources that attracts inspiring projects and people. Austin is such an important spot for the Hispanic ad community. It’s a creative mecca; people are hungry to collaborate. I’m really excited to continue my involvement in it with the support of a company that understands and embraces the importance of multicultural expression.”
Ron Rendon, Executive Producer at Beast Austin, said, “We saw a spark in Luis early on and he has continued to advance as an editor – he’s super talented, extremely well-rounded in his production and post experience, and he inspires confidence in clients. We’re pleased to promote him and support his success as he builds his career.”
