    Bar1 “Shakes Things Up” for Tic Tac Mints

    NEW YORK -- (SPW) --

    Music and audio production company Bar1 has just finished a music and sound design project for the Tic Tac® brand related to the newest flavor of Tic Tac® mints, Strawberry Fields. “Lips – Strawberry Fields,” a :15 TV spot, set to air nationally, was the brain child of Merkley + Partners’ Group Creative Directors Eddie Van Bloem and Saks Afridi.

    “Thanks to both Eddie and Saks for bringing the project here – everyone knows we do kick-ass radio, but we may do music even better,” says Joe Barone, owner of Bar1. “Bar1 came up with a unique solution that really complemented the picture,” adds Van Bloem. “The juxtaposition of the different styles of music was more out there and more interesting than what we’d had up to that point.”

    The agency producers on the spot were Donovan Green and Scott Mushinskie. The track was mixed by Tim Leitner, chief engineer at Bar1.
