Founder Jesse Dylan announced that the directing team of Riess|Hill (Chris Riess and Amy Hill) have joined the collective of noted directors at Los Angeles-based Wondros. Riess|Hill are best known for their story telling pedigree which spans pathos and comedy with actors and real people. With a strong commitment to public service work, their long credit list of advertising projects include, such noted brands as Chase, Pepsi, Keybank, Unites States Marine Corps, Gillette, Quaker, Partnership for Drug Free America, March of Dimes and Starbucks among many others.

The duo became the first directing team to ever be nominated for a Directors Guild of America Award and continue to be award winners with Efies and Clios for their joint work.

“Amy and Chris have a vibrancy to their work, be it in the traditional commercial space, integrated and viral content or public service.  They are a team we have always admired and are excited to provide them an environment to explore multiple avenues of content development and creation,” stated Wondros’ Chief Creative Officer Anne-Marie Mackay.

“We have collaborated in work and in life for more than 20 years,” stated Chris Riess.  “We continue to hone our art and craft as a collective that has a shorthand and ethos that provides us and the talent and teams we work with an environment to explore and expose creativity in new ways,” stated Hill. “We are excited about this next journey with the collective and team at Wondros and look forward to getting started on new projects shortly,” the duo said.

Riess and Hill met while students at Art Center College of Design and collaborated there on numerous projects, including a commercial spec that caught the eye of Robert Redford and was well received during the Festival.  The duo work in tandem while Riess in addition to directing takes on the active role of cinematographer on all projects.
