Bonanza Productions recently selected <a href="<a href="www.avenuesixstudios.com.>(www.avenuesixstudios.com.“>Avenue Six Studios for their “Edgar Floats” sitcom shoot. Director Jace Alexander utilized the Avenue Six stages for several scenes and rear screen sequences.
The new series features actors Tom Cavanaugh, Alicia Witt, Alex Solowitz, Raoul Trujillo and Miguel Ferrer. The episode, “Your Own Personal Judas” was written by Rand Ravich, produced by Loucas George with executive producers Rand Ravich and Far Shanat. Bonanza chose the Avenue Six Studio Stages in part because a newly added soundstage and green screen expansion which makes Avenue Six even more versatile than ever.
Avenue Six has been home to several high profile shoots, of late. Hollywood’s comedic elite were recently on hand as Funny or Die (www.funnyordie.com) brought Jim Carrey as Ronald Reagan, Will Ferrell as George W. Bush, Dan Aykroyd as Jimmy Carter, Chevy Chase as Gerald Ford, Dana Carvey as George H. W. Bush and Darrell Hammond as Bill Clinton together for a hilarious segment directed by Ron Howard and shot at <a href="<a href="www.avenuesixstudios.com.>(www.avenuesixstudios.com.“>Avenue Six Studios.
In Funny or Die‘s Presidential Reunion, Barack Obama gets a surprise visit in the night from ex-Presidents Bush Sr., Bush Jr., Clinton, Ford, Reagan and Carter to get a few pointers about the Consumer Financial Protection Agency and why it’s so important. Directed by Howard with Funny or Die Director Jake Szymanski, the skit was written by Adam McKay and Al Jean.
Produced by Mike Farah for Funny or Die, the spoof pulls together an amazing collection of comedy’s royalty. Even the CURRENT President was fair game as other performers included Barack Obama, who was played by Fred Armisen and Michelle Obama, who was was played by Maya Rudolph. Mr. Mike Farah, Producer and Ambassador of Lifestyle at Funny or Die noted, “We came back to <a href="<a href="www.avenuesixstudios.com.>(www.avenuesixstudios.com.“>Avenue Six Studios because just like our last experience there, the great staff allowed us to get a very ambitious shoot done all in one location. On the advertising side, Director Leon Melas and Square One Entertainment have created magic in the kitchen for their latest Shamwow product, Slap Chop. Shamwow’s notorious frontman utilized Ave Six Studios’ east stage “Kitchen set” to create the proper mood for the company’s new infomercial.
