AvatarLabs, one of Hollywood’s most successful online marketing agencies specializing in the creation of online rich media and enriched websites, has named Alan Chapman as Production Designer. Rex Cook, Executive Creative Director/Founder, AvatarLabs, made the announcement.
In his new position with AvatarLabs, Chapman will be involved with developing interactive online advertising, including banner ads, rich media, and viral marketing. He will primarily work in Flash, DreamWeaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
ABOUT ALAN CHAPMAN:
Prior to joining AvatarLabs, Alan Chapman was– and remains– the Creator, Producer, Director, Writer, Animator and Editor of an animated comic strip on the Internet, entitled “A Boy and His Monkey.” (http://www.aboyandhismonkey.com.) Previously, he had worked as a Production Assistant on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” assisting show producers, writers, talent, and Jay Leno himself. He distributed research material, tapes, and jokes to and from the staff and Jay Leno, and was responsible for making sure on-location remotes were efficiently produced.
Earlier, Chapman was an Assistant to actor/producer Tom Green in putting the new “Tom Green Live” show online four nights a week on The Channel. He ran camera, screened incoming calls, striked sets, and performed other production duties. During 2004, Chapman managed the tape vault during production of “Entertainment Tonight.” He reviewed and documented the contents of production footage for use by the show’s editors. Chapman was also a producer and editor of the TV mini-series “The Legends of Television,” for Ohlmeyer Communications. This four-part mini-series chronicled the careers of television’s most prolific working professionals.
Chapman has a BA Degree, Major in TV Production and Graphic Design, from Pepperdine University.
