Automatic Duck Xsend Motion Instantly Recreates FCPX Timeline as a Motion 5 Project
Automatic Duck (www.automaticduck.com), the original creators of timeline translation software for filmmakers, editors and motion graphics artists, announced today that it will debut a new timeline translation application for Final Cut Pro X editors and Apple Motion artists.
Making its debut at the FCP Exchange Workshop (http://fcpexchange.com/nab2016/) during the NAB 2016 conference in Las Vegas, Automatic Duck will demonstrate Xsend Motion, the Company’s newest application that converts XML from Final Cut Pro X to a Motion 5 project, effectively building a bridge between the two applications.
“Xsend Motion solves a problem that’s been bugging FCPX editors for a long time – a problem that hasn’t been addressed until now,” said Wes Plate, president of Automatic Duck. “Xsend Motion essentially recreates a Final Cut Pro X timeline as a Motion project, giving users a similar workflow to what they had in the Final Cut Studio days. ‘Send to Motion’ back in FCP7/Motion 4 was a powerful feature that was discontinued with FCPX and Motion 5, and we know there are a lot of artists out there that really miss this feature.”
Xsend Motion reads XML exports, or is able to process projects directly from the Final Cut Pro X Share menu. Xsend Motion is also able to translate clip transforms, speed changes, and many third party filters. For more information on Automatic Duck Xsend Motion, please visit www.automaticduck.com.
Pricing and Availability
Automatic Duck Xsend Motion will be available soon. Details on pricing and how to purchase XSend Motion will be announced at that time.
Additional Products from Automatic Duck
Last fall, Automatic Duck made its re-introduction to the community with two new products; Automatic Duck Ximport AE and Automatic Duck Media Copy. Both products are available for sale, and supported exclusively through Red Giant. To purchase or learn more, please visit http://www.redgiant.com/automatic-duck/.
Automatic Duck Ximport AE
Automatic Duck Ximport AE builds a powerful bridge between Final Cut Pro X and Adobe After Effects CC. As more professionals experiment with and adopt Apple's Final Cut Pro X, the need has increased for a robust translation to After Effects CC. Automatic Duck Ximport AE is an After Effects plug-in that reads XML files from FCPX 10.1.2 and later directly into After Effects CS6 and later.
Automatic Duck Ximport AE is available from Red Giant and is priced at $199.
Automatic Duck Media Copy
Automatic Duck Media Copy is an update to the popular utility that adds support for FCPX XML files. Automatic Duck Media Copy reads AAF or OMF exports from Avid editing systems, XML files from Final Cut Pro 7 and earlier, or XML files from Final Cut Pro X 10.1.2 and later, then it figures out which media files are referenced by the sequence(s) and copies those media files to a location the user specifies.
Automatic Duck Media Copy is available from Red Giant and is priced at $99.
