Austin Film Festival now accepting submissions for Annual Young Filmmakers Competition!
The Young Filmmakers Competition is an amazing opportunity for students, up through age 18, hoping to pursue a career in the industry and to showcase their work.
DEADLINE: Submissions are due by August 1, 2009
COST: FREE!
ENTRY CATEGORIES
Narrative, Documentary, or Animation. Films must be shorts with a recommended length of no longer than 39 minutes.
PRIZE
Winning filmmaker and a legal guardian (over the age of 18) will receive the following:
โข Two (2) Producers Badges to the 16th Annual Austin Film Festival and Conference
โข Reimbursement up to $350 each for two (2) round-trip airline tickets
โข Two (2) nights accommodation in one of AFF’s sponsor hotels
The winning filmmaker will also receive two tickets to our Awards Luncheon on Saturday October 24th with Ron Howard, Extraordinary Contribution to Filmmaking Award recipient, “Arrested Development” creator Mitchell Hurwitz, Outstanding Television Writer Award recipient, and other AFF awardees and film/screenplay competition winners in attendance.
