Audio Post Production Company PLUSHnyc has had a very active year, including the addition of a second full floor and multiple award wins. With many new projects and campaigns underway, PLUSHnyc is looking forward to a flurry of activity in 2012.
Senior Mixer/Sound Designer Rob Fielack’s work on the Google Chrome spot “Dear Sophie” helped nab the #4 spot on Adweek’s “10 Best Commercials of 2011“. Created by ad agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty, “Dear Sophie” is about a father making a digital scrapbook of images, videos, and emails for his daughter, leaving the viewers a bit choked up. Earlier this year, Rob’s work on Google Chrome “Speed Tests” helped earn the spot a Golden Lion Award from the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, along with numerous other awards.
Senior Mixer/Sound Designer Mike Vitacco, along with MSG, achieved the honor of being recipients of the Promax 2011 SMMA Titanium Award for Best Use of Original Music or Sound Design for “Summer Image 2“. MSG was the only regional network to take home the distinct honor of Titanium. In addition to this, Mike also received an Emmy for MSG Plus’ “Summer Image” for Best Sound Design.
Senior Mixer/Sound Designer Mike Levesque Jr. has been awarded 12 episodes in the new MTV series “Wait Till Next Year” about a Lincoln Park High School football team which, with a five-year losing streak (losing 43 games in a row), has enlisted the help of a new head coach in hopes of winning at least one game. In conjunction with Punched In The Head, Mike Jr. will be doing sound design and mixing for the series starting January 2012.
Senior Mixer/Sound Designer James Twomey, since receiving an Emmy for his work at the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010, has again been asked by NBC Sports to mix at the Summer Olympics 2012. He will be travelling to London in July, handling sound design and mixing of athlete profiles and long form programs at the main broadcast center in the Olympic Village.
Congratulations guys on your efforts and achievements, and here’s to an amazing 2012!
