"Our website launch represents a major step in enhancing our artistry, transparency and solidarity vision by fully engaging members, the entertainment industry, and the general public," said Nelson Coates ADG, President of the ADG. "The new ADG.org will provide visitors with an informative experience – showcasing our growing membership and the myriad of contributions by members to productions in motion pictures, television and new media."
ADG.org has improved functionality and an intuitive design that represents all the Local 800 Guild members including Art Directors, Graphic Artists, Illustrators, Matte Artists, Previs Artists, Model Makers, Production Designers, Scenic Artists, Set Designers and Title Artists. The website offers resources such as the availability list, a media-rich member portfolio section linked to IMDb, production listings, training classes, a searchable calendar, and updates from the Guild's leadership for member support. An online version of the ADG magazine Perspective will also be available.
The new website was created by the award-winning design firm Anton & Irene http://antonandirene.com with a strong emphasis on streamlining the information architecture, enhancing the usability and findability of content, and elevating the visual appeal of the entire experience.
Production Designer Susan Bolles ADG presides over the website redesign committee comprised of representatives from all four ADG councils, which includes Art Directors Rachel Robb Kondrath and Michael Allen Glover; Scenic, Title and Graphic Artists Ellen King and Alan Kobayashi; Set Designers and Model Makers Eugene Adamov and Kenneth A. Larson; and Illustrators and Matte Artists Chris Brandt and Matthew Cunningham. Graphic elements for the ADG logo remixes were created by ADG members Tom Taylor, Eric McGilloway, Angus Lyne, and Evan Yarbrough.
