The Art Directors Club ((www.adcglobal.org)), the premier organization for creatives in integrated media and the first global creative collective of its kind, announced a pair of speaker events as part of its 2010 “Festival of Fame”.
The speaker series, taking place at the ADC Gallery, 106 West 29th St, NYC from 6:00pm-8:00pm, is as follows:
โข Wednesday, November 3, conversation with 2010 ADC Hall of Fame laureate Dan Wieden, co-founder, Wieden+Kennedy, Portland, OR, and David Kennedy, W+K co-founder, moderated by Jeff Goodby, co-chairman, creative director, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, CA.
โข Tuesday, November 9, conversation with 2010 ADC Hall of Fame laureates Christoph Niemann, illustrator, and Matthew Carter, typographer, moderated by Nicholas Blechman, art director, The New York Times Book Review, and member of the ADC Hall of Fame selection committee.
These three honorees, as well as other 2010 laureates Fabien Baron, creative director; currently editorial director, Interview magazine; William Drenttel and Jessica Helfand, founders, Winterhouse; Philip Hays (posthumous), illustrator and educator; Brigitte Lacombe, photographer; and George Nelson (posthumous), designer and author, will be inducted into the ADC Hall of Fame at a creative black-tie benefit dinner on Thursday, November 4, 2010, 7:00pm at the ADC Gallery in New York, with proceeds going toward ADC scholarship programs.
For the second ADC Hall of Fame in a row, master of ceremonies at the induction dinner and awards presentation will be Emmy and Peabody Award winning journalist John Hockenberry. An exhibition of work by these latest ADC Hall of Fame laureates will be on display and open to the public, free of charge, at the ADC Gallery from November 8-23, 2010.
