Daniel Sollinger, a prolific and well-respected producer with over 15 years of experience in feature films, television and commercials, has joined Hollywood-based Arclight Productions as Head of Development. The newly created position and Sollinger’s appointment were announced by Arclight president Steven Kochones. Sollinger will lead the company's sales, marketing and development team to generate new business in film, TV and digital media, expand production and post-production capacities, secure strategic partnerships, and produce special projects exclusively for Arclight.
A New York University Film School graduate, Sollinger has been a producer on over 30 feature films and more than 350 commercials, music videos, and short films for clients including Pepsi, Warner Bros. Records, CBS, Sony and Comedy Central. His work has won awards from New York University, The American Film Institute, The Accolade Awards and the American Motion Picture Society. Sollinger’s latest feature film, “L.A. Slasher” opened in theaters across the country in June 2015. His next feature film release will be “Ktown Cowboys,” which played at the SXSW film festival and will open in select U.S. cities..

Sollinger is well known for his work on numerous rap videos for artists such as Will Smith and A Tribe Called Quest. Most notably, he produced "Rhyme & Reason," a feature documentary on hip-hop culture, for Miramax Films. Booked in 280 theaters nationwide, the film was recognized by the Hollywood Reporter as one of the top 15 most profitable films of 1997. Sollinger’s other films include: “Day Zero” starring Elijah Wood, Ginnifer Goodwin and Elisabeth Moss, “Day on Fire” starring Olympia Dukakis, "The Alphabet Killer" starring Timothy Hutton and Oscar® winner Melissa Leo, "Girls Against Boys," "In My Sleep," and "Without Men."

Sollinger also served as Line Producer on Arclight’s new documentary, “Frans Lanting: The Evolution of LIFE.” The film takes viewers on a fascinating journey through time via the remarkable images of National Geographic photographer Frans Lanting, while recounting his own evolution from wildlife photographer to visual chronicler of life on Earth. The film will premiere on October 24, 2015 at the Annenberg Space for Photography as part of the re-imagined photo exhibit, “LIFE: A Journey Through Time.”
Sollinger is a member of the PGA and a DGA Unit Production Manager.
