New company led by STORY principals offers turnkey solutions for spots and new media.
Mark Androw and Cliff Grant, partners in the commercial production company STORY, have formed a new company, The Whole Story, offering complete production, post production and digital services for commercials and new media. The new company is based in Chicago’s River North district and has production offices in Santa Monica and New York.
The Whole Story shares Androw and Grant as executive producers with STORY, along with its roster of commercial directors. It has also assembled a group of independent editors, visual effects artists and web designers in order to provide turnkey solutions for commercials, new media and all things digital.
“Our clients have been increasingly asking us to follow projects all the way through the process,” notes Androw. “Through The Whole Story, we coordinate all aspects of a project from start to finish and pass along the cost efficiencies to our clients.”
The Whole Story has already completed several projects, including one for Leo Burnett and its client Kellogg’s. It has also completed a Dremel Tool spot for Cramer-Krasselt and several projects for Navistar.
STORY directors who are now available via The Whole Story include Rebecca Blake, Bob Ebel, Jeff France, Blair Hayes, John Komnenich, David Orr, Toby Phillips, Andy Richter, Laurie Rubin, Basil Schlegel, George Tillman Jr. and Ondi Timoner. The new company has alliances with a number of veteran editors from Chicago and Los Angeles including Brian Clark, Gail Gilbert, Erick Horowitz, Cara Meiselman, and Christopher Willoughby. It also offers the talents of visual effects artist Chris Ryan from Chaos Studios and web designer Aarik Evanson.

“Ǝvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of Ǝvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? Ǝvolution suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence, Ǝvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating —in the blink of an eye— the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called “progress” may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J.
