Annual Awards Gala Set for February 15, 2015
The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) is accepting submissions in the television categories for the 29th Annual ASC Outstanding Achievement Awards. The two categories are (1) Television Movie, Miniseries or Pilot, and (2) an Episode of a Regular Series. The deadline for entries is noon (PST) on November 3. Winners will be named during the awards gala, set for February 15, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency Century City.
To qualify, shows must have premiere broadcast dates in the United States between November 1, 2013, and October 31, 2014. Entry forms can be downloaded from the ASC website.
"The landscape of television is changing tremendously, and achieving compelling images has never been more challenging," says ASC Awards Chairman Lowell Peterson. "Our goal is to highlight some of the best work being done under tremendous time and budget pressures while demonstrating a high level of art and craft in our field."
The ASC was chartered in January 1919. There are more than 360 active members of ASC, and 200-plus associate members from sectors of the industry that support the art and craft of filmmaking. Membership and associate membership is by invitation based on contributions that individuals have made to advance the art of visual storytelling.

2024 AICP Awards Tour Concludes with Stops in Dallas and Chicago
The 2024 AICP Awards Tour concludes with stops in Dallas and Chicago this month as it wraps up its tour of cities across the U.S. The National Tour brought presentations, panels and screenings to marketers, advertising agencies, production and post production companies. The AICP Awards will be in Dallas on Thursday, November 14th, at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, followed by the Chicago event, set for Thursday, November 21st at The Old Post Office. Tickets are available now for both events at www.aicp.com. In Dallas, the program kicks off at 6:45 pm with a happy hour, followed by the screening and panel discussion at 7:30. The evening ends with a networking reception from 8:30 to 11:30. The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is located at 2201 N. Field Street in Dallas. Appearing in Dallas will be Abe Garcia, Chief Creative Officer, Dieste; Julia Melle, Director of Brand and Content, Southwest Airlines; and Isaac Pagán Muñoz, VP, Executive Creative Director of PepsiCo Foods. The panel will review selected winners from the suite of the AICP Awards programs, offering insights into what made them rise to the top of their respective categories and share their viewpoints on key trends in the industry. The Chicago stop starts at 6:00pm with a happy hour, followed by the presentation and screening at 7:00pm. A reception caps the event, starting at 8:00pm and concluding at 11:30pm.
