On the evening of May 2nd, 2021, Anheuser-Busch turned up the heat with a a feel-good virtual livestream event that celebrated Hispanic culture, music, and community. Thousands viewed and participated via chat and viewing parties, as such iconic performers as Maluma, Becky G, Myke Towers, and Prince Royce took the “Reventón de Verano” (summer bash) stage, each performance tied to a specific brand under the ABI portfolio.
A highlight of the almost 4-hour-long show was the Stella Sessions segment hosted by Eva Longoria and directed by Alejandro Márquez Vela. In it, Eva prepares a meal to share with her guests (and friends) Wilmer Valderrama (That 70’s Show) and influencer Karen Sarahi (@iluvsarahii) while they talk about their heritage, favorite foods, and being a part of the vibrant LatinX community in the U.S. The intimate conversation moves outside, where the group is surprised by special guest Leslie Grace (In The Heights), who performs her hit song “De Lunes a Jueves,” followed by the world premiere of “Ooh La La."
Executive Producer Marcos Cline-Márquez said, “We had the opportunity to create unique content viewable through various platforms that connected with the audience in meaningful ways. To achieve that, it was important to work with a director who could combine the brand vision with the talent vision, and make it his own.”
Director Alejandro Márquez added, "It was an exciting challenge to be a part of something as big as Reventon de Verano. Our segment had to fit seamlessly into the overall festival yet simultaneously stand out and capture the essence of both the Stella Artois and Stella Solstice brand."
The segment was streamed live as part of the “Reventón de Verano” on ABI’s O&O and social feeds, as well as the artist social feeds, including YouTube. It was executive produced by Kevin Abrams and Marcos Cline-Márquez for FirstTube Media.
