Goldcrest Post today announces that Sean Dunckley is joining its creative team as a senior colorist. A highly accomplished post-production veteran, Dunckley brings more than 130 credits spanning features, streaming and broadcast. Recent projects include MGM’s critically acclaimed feature Bottoms, the Max Original crime thriller Tokyo Vice and the Apple TV+ teen comedy Dickinson. At Goldcrest, he will focus on high quality studio and independent features, streaming productions and broadcast series.
Goldcrest Post Managing Director Domenic Rom has been a fan of Dunckley’s for years. “We’ve had many conversations about joining our team and I am very happy he finally said, ‘yes,’” he stated. “He is a world class talent with impeccable taste and an incredible knack for helping filmmakers achieve their visions.”
Through his relationships with leading cinematographers and experience in working with major studios, Dunckley adds considerable value to Goldcrest’s line up of talent. “We are excited to welcome an artist of his caliber,” said Executive Vice President Mark Kaplan. “He is an excellent fit for our culture and our plans for future expansion.”
Dunckley was drawn to Goldcrest by its boutique environment, creative orientation and ability to deliver a full complement of post-production services. “I’m ecstatic to join Goldcrest and its incredible sound and picture teams,” he said. “It has the perfect combination of talent and technical resources.”
Dunckley began his career at Company 3, New York, working his way up from intern to colorist over ten years. He later spent eight years as a senior colorist at Light Iron, before joining Assembly in 2021. His many notable credits include Amityville: An Origin Story for MGM+, ZIWE for Showtime, Hellraiser for Hulu and Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal for Netflix. “I love the work I do because it taps into both creative and technical problem-solving,” Dunckley observes. “The best part of any project is sitting down with the director or cinematographer and helping them apply their vision.”
He adds that Goldcrest provides the perfect environment for him to continue to hone his skills and broaden his experience. “I haven’t previously been with a facility that offers sound services,” he says. “It will be a huge benefit for my clients to be able to color and mix sound in one place.”

Stephen Arnold Music Collaborates With WETA to Create a Memorable and Adaptable Sonic Brand
WETA Arts, the award-winning, magazine-style arts and culture series returns for its 10th season on the PBS flagship station with an elegant new sound. The latest collaboration between WETA, PBS’s Washington DC-based flagship station, and Stephen Arnold Music (SAM), the new music package reflects the show’s insightful take on DC’s diverse art scene in an understated and memorable way. “It’s a unique sound,” says WETA creative director Dylan Wilbur. “There’s a lovely calmness to it that perfectly complements the show’s new art deco visual look. I first listened to SAM’s demo while driving in my car. I hit play and instantly fell in love. I thought, wow, that’s beautiful.” WETA Arts is also the first show to leverage WETA’s first ever sonic branding. Created by SAM, the world leader in sonic branding, last year, the classically inspired signature sound is designed to give WETA a unified, instantly recognizable audio identity across each of its sub-brands and all touch points, broadcast and digital. It can be heard in different stylistic and mood treatments in promos, IDs, teasers and other marketing media for WETA PBS, WETA UK, WETA PBS Kids, WETA World, WETA Metro, and WETA Classical. “The sonic branding evokes our values: trust, intelligence, quality and enrichment,” observes Wilbur. “WETA is different from commercial broadcasters in that many of our viewers are also supporters. We wanted to convey the pride of ownership they feel for the station.” WETA’s sonic branding is also integrated into Signal in the Static, a longform spot celebrating the station’s historic leadership in news, documentary and educational programming. Airing in prime time through the fall political season, the spot features clips from... Read More
