Lola Lott, charlieuniformtango president/executive producer, announced the company has completed a new :60 commercial for Dallas-based The Richards Group client Fruit of the Loom. It's a music parody featuring the Fruit of the Loom guys singing a new ballad "Comfortably."

The charlieuniformtango team included Mary Alice Butler, executive producer, Jack Waldrip, vice president/senior editor, Alex Campos, assistant editor, Joey Waldrip, special effects editor, David Hannah, special effects supervisor/3D designer, Russell Smith, audio engineer.

Leading filmmaking business magazine, SHOOT, selected "Comfortably" as the "Top Spot of the Week" in their August 20 issue. And, the ballad takes the number five slot in this summer's quarterly SHOOT Top Ten Spot Tracks Chart.

"This time around it felt right to do a big rock anthem for the modern man," The Richards Group creative director/copywriter Ron Henderson said of the latest music video parody—directed by Klaus Obermeyer of Aero Film, Santa Monica, Calif. The process began with Henderson penning the song's lyrics, which aim to "let all men know that whoever they are and whatever they wear, Fruit of the Loom has everything they need."

"Are you boxers, are you briefs?" the song begins, ultimately promising, "I won't leave you bare in your search for underwear." Regular Fruit of the Loom collaborators Roger and Scott Wojahn of Wojahn Bros Music, Santa Monica, set the lyrics to music. Once the shoot wrapped, Henderson and Walker worked with editor Jack Waldrip of Dallas' charlieuniformtango to cut "Comfortably." "To be honest, it came together really quickly," Henderson said, adding, "What wasn't captured in-camera, and was the more challenging part, was adding the extra clothesline and billowing underwear in the post process."

"Comfortably" is currently playing in movie theaters and on television, and the music video can also be seen at http://www.fruit.com. MP3 songs can also be downloaded at that site.
