<a href="(www.2150.tv)“>2150 the leading full-service post house specializing in editorial/finishing, visual effects, shoot supervision and audio post, has added award-winning film editor Alejandro Santangelo to its staff. Santangelo recent editorial work includes spots for such top brands as Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Heineken, Axe, Renault and Subway.
"We’ve been wanting to collaborate with Ale for a long time," Jeff Sternberger, who co-founded <a href="(www.2150.tv)“>2150 in 2003 with Michael Coe, says. "The stars have finally aligned and we are really excited about having him join our team."
One of the first AVID users in Latin America, Santangelo is known for his work in both the Hispanic and general markets. Argentinean-born and raised, Santangelo began his career as Creative Editor and Post Production Supervisor for the Argentina office of Flehner Films, where he edited spots for Kodak, IBM and Ford among many others.
In 1998 he joined post house Metrovision, Argentina, as Post Production Director. It was there he had the opportunity to work as an Assistant Editor on the 2002 feature “Assassination Tango,” which was written, directed and starred actor Robert Duvall and was Executive Produced by Francis Ford Coppola.
Additionally, Santangelo has worked with numerous other top filmmakers including, Tony Scott, Pucho Mentasti, Edi Flehner, Diego Kaplan, Cali Ameglio, Marcelo Scheztman, José Luis Márquez, Augusto Giménez, Zapiola, Simón Bross and José Pratt. His work has been honored with Cannes Lions, Clios and the New York and London Advertising Festivals.
“I’ve been good friends for many years with the people at <a href="(www.2150.tv)“>2150 and we always joked about how we should be working together,” Santangelo says. “There aren’t many companies in this market that can offer the array of talent and services that <a href="(www.2150.tv)“>2150 can and I’m looking forward to furthering their already stellar creative reputation.”
“Adding Ale has really upped the creative energy in our place,” says Sternberger. “His work ethic and sense of humor fit right into our creative family here. Besides, one bald editor is simply not enough.”
In other <a href="(www.2150.tv)“>2150 news, the company finished a good year with a strong 4th quarter after the arrival of Santangelo. <a href="(www.2150.tv)“>2150 handled several McDonalds projects via Alma DDB. As well as Volkswagen via Creative On Demand, Olive Garden and Ford projects via Zubi Advertising, and Bright House Networks and Steinmart work from Fry Hammond Barr.
