Matt Miller, President and CEO of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP), and T.K. Knowles, Chairman of the 2010 AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial, and Executive Producer/Managing Director of Bob Industries, announced today the release of the Shortlist for the AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial. The honorees will be unveiled at the Show’s premiere on June 8th at The Museum of Modern Art, and made a part of the archive of the Department of Film at MoMA.
“The AICP Show Shortlist points to the fact that despite it being a difficult year, a lot of great work was created,” said Miller. “Everyone looks forward to the premiere to see what makes it into the archive at MoMA,” continued Knowles. “Many things make the Show a very special event for the industry โ the work, the talent and the camaraderie of the industry coming together for an evening to celebrate what we do every day.”
Topping the production company tally on the Shortlist is MJZ, with 41 mentions, followed by Smuggler with 15, and O Positive with nine appearances. On the agency front, Wieden + Kennedy led the pack with 23 mentions, followed by TBWA/Chiat/Day, New York, with 13, and BBDO with 12. On the client side, ABSOLUT Vodka and XBOX Halo 3:ODST both received seven mentions, while Levi’s appeared five times.
