A young man during a job interview has laptop in hand and proceeds to share images of his debauchery on vacation in Cancun, including being arrested by the police. The interviewer and potential employer can’t believe he is being shown this incriminating material. He asks the intern if he realizes this is a job interview. The young man’s response is that he wanted to showcase his proficiency in social media.
The employer politely ends the interview, at which point he receives a phone call. He picks up to find out he’s talking to the job applicant sitting across the table from him. The intern explains that he is following up on the interview.
We are then informed that his would-be job applicant suffers from being “Dimpatient,” a combination of being dim and impatient, symptoms brought on by hunger. The cure: Snickers Crisper, a new snacking solution that keeps you at the top of your game.
This spot and another introducing the state of being “Confoolish” (confused and foolish) debuted during the Golden Globe Awards telecast on NBC. They are part of an integrated campaign created by BBDO NY. Directed by Ulf Johansson of production company Smith and Jones, the ads were accompanied by social GIFS and live tweeting during the awards show and can be found on Snickers’ social channels.
