Created by Publicis Singapore, this piece for P&G/Vicks Philippines introduces us to a young man named Hernando and his journey of transformation triggered when an abandoned baby enters his life. Inspired by the real-life story of an innocent child and his adoptive father, the four-minute online film shows how a hardened Hernando becomes through his care and caring for the child becomes a loving, responsible adult. He and the child end up caring for each other, changing for the better not just their lives but also the lives of those around them.
The story is in line with the mantra of Vicks, a brand synonymous with family care globally. A single act of care has the capacity to transform lives, transcending social norms, definitions and stereotypes.
Sheron Dayoc of Straight Shooters directed the film, which is titled Learning to Love #TouchofCare.
