Gualter Pupo of Hungry Man directed this video for Samsung washer and dryer appliances (the Wash and Dry Ecobubble) out of agency Cheil Brasil.
The film, which describes the special memory-jogging relationship between consumers and their clothes, features three couples who report real stories of their first date with their partners. The video begins showing that women do not believe men have any kind of emotional memory and, for this reason, do not remember the clothes they wore on their first date. Then proving otherwise, husbands describe in detail the clothing that they and their partners wore on that special occasion.
The video continues with the preparation of a surprise organized by the husbands: they write a love letter to their loved ones, accompanied by those first date clothes which are inside a special present–the Samsung Wash and Dry Ecobubble machines.
The love letters end with a request that the women wear the clothes that are inside the machine. Once dressed in this attire, the women are taken via limousine to the places where they met their husbands for the first time. In the scenes that follows, the couples are in the same place they intially met, which gives them the chance to reflect on and re-live those special first dates.
