Another high-octane prologue film–directed by Luke Scott of RSA Films for agency 3AM–further builds anticipation for the theatrical debut of Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros.’ Blade Runner 2049.
Titled 2048: Nowhere To Run, the prologue features Sapper Morton (Dave Bautista) as an outlaw Replicant in hiding who has to risk everything to save an innocent life in a crime-infested Los Angeles market.
2048: Nowhere to Run was filmed on set during principal photography of the feature Blade Runner 2049. Set in 2048 Los Angeles, Nowhere to Run follows the release last month of the prologue short 2036: Nexus Dawn with Jared Leto, and Blade Runner 2049’s official trailer this summer.
From executive producer Ridley Scott and director Denis Villeneuve, Blade Runner 2049 stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana De Armas, MacKenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, Lennie James, Carla Juri, Robin Wright, Bautista and Leto. In Blade Runner 2049, 30 years after the events of the first movie, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years. Blade Runner 2049 debuts in theaters on October 6.
