The campaign, which consists of a website and banner ads, spoofs the horror film genre. At www.slicedthemovie.com, visitors can watch a faux horror movie trailer. But the actors/victims starring in the trailer are actually fruit, and the killer is a VEX bottle. Raising awareness of opioid overdose reversal medications like naloxone is a critical way to empower young adults to save lives, as the presence of fentanyl in illicit drugs and in counterfeit pills continues to put countless lives at risk nationwide.
