Peter Sluszka’s stop-motion paper world takes over Amazon for another Prime Day on July 11, the biggest global shopping event for the e-tailer this year. Amazon, along with Leo Burnett Canada, tapped director Sluszka of the Hornet Inc. studio to create the ongoing campaign for a second year, which includes TV and digital ads, banners, gifs, and many elements for the site. Sluszka’s Prime Day world will be seen in many countries including Canada, the UK, China, Japan and France.
With deals starting as early as 6pm on July 10 and for 30 hours only, Prime customers get to dive deep into a paper crafted Prime Day land as created by Sluszka. Items such as Amazon’s Alexa, digital cameras, and noise-canceling headphones are crafted lovingly from paper for the cardboard world originally inspired by Amazon’s shipping boxes. Adorable paper Corgis and Cats, high tech techies and well-dressed fashionistas will all be featured on the landing pages of Amazon sites around the world.
Sluszka was excited for the opportunity to build on last year’s successful takeover of the site, from revisiting old characters, like the ice cream vendor, to creating some new ones like the charming home chef.
