To promote Volvo’s new XC90 T8 Twin Engine, we see that this SUV is the first plug-in hybrid to be powered by gas, electricity and other vehicles.
Over a two-day stretch in Southern California, Volvo and Grey NY used a custom peristaltic pump placed over the roadway that, when vehicles drove over it, generated electricity to fuel a nearby charging station to which the XC90 T8 was connected.
