Audi’s promotional tie-in to the much anticipated movie Avengers: Age of Ultron is adeptly and adroitly reflected in this Kevin Smith-directed comedic short titled Stan Lee Cameo School. With tongue firmly in cheek, Marvel comic book legend Lee teaches a class on the finer points of cameo performances in motion pictures–among his students is director Smith and actors Michael Rooker and Tara Reid.
Lee’s notable cameos in Marvel superhero films range from being a beauty pageant judge in Iron Man 3 to a mental asylum patient in Thor: The Dark World.
The Audi/Avengers video also features cameos by Lou Ferrigno, Jason Mewes and the Audi S8, a vehicle which brings Lee to the class he teaches. Avengers: Age of Ultron will feature the 2016 Audi R8, 2015 TTS and 2015 A3 Cabriolet vehicles alongside the next generation of Avengers characters. The R8, which made its initial debut in Iron Man, returns as Tony Stark’s vehicle of choice, but an even more powerful supercar, while the Audi TTS makes its big screen debut as a completely redesigned coupe.
