Blacklist and Studio AKA were commissioned by Morton Salt, Inc to craft this 90-second film, bringing us a dog’s eye view of the changing winter landscape and how it affects our family pets and their backyard best-friendships.
Titled Neighbors, this charming film follows two dogs, Lucy and George, who are separated by snowy circumstance and miss each other greatly. With a nostalgic and stylistic nod towards classic cartoons, it’s a story sure to warm the hearts of viewers this winter season.
Directed by Studio AKA’s Marc Craste with art direction from Olga Stern and characters designed by Steve Small, the film was produced as a blend of CGI and painted backgrounds, with hand drawn refinements to the animation created by AKA’s team of animators and assistants, giving the characters extra warmth and likability.
In addition to a select cinema release, Neighbors will gain exposure digitally.
