Global production company We Fly Coach has appointed its first executive producer out of its Bangkok office, bringing on Poo Sukumalanand to lead business development on the ground in the Asian market. The hire comes on the heels of a recent increase of projects out of Asia, the U.K. and Middle East, including a campaign with Havas Bangkok for Hershey’s. With Sukumalanand on site at the Bangkok operation, she will serve to enhance We Fly Coach’s industry presence in the Asian advertising and production markets.
Sukumalanand has over 15 years of experience in the advertising space, spanning production, marketing and sales roles working with top international brands including Unilever, P&G, Sony, booking.com, Coca-Cola, Toyota, Marriott, Mitsubishi, Canon, Ford and KLM. She has produced a wide array of commercial and branded content projects within Asia Pacific and globally, working in over 20 countries with international advertising agencies and award-winning directors including Dante Ariola, Ben Tricklebank, Matthias Zentner, Eva Munz, Antony Redman and Matt Harris. Sukumalanand joins We Fly Coach following a long stint at Big Blue Productions, where she collaborated with other companies including Believe Media, MJZ, Epoch Films, Soup Films and Kailash Pictures.
Sukumalanand brings a holistic eye to her creative advertising process, applying her experience as a line producer and her expertise in postproduction to her marketing and sales endeavors. Her vast international connections in the advertising space and solutions-oriented approach to production will allow her to expand We Fly Coach’s already diverse slate of story-driven live action and animation work to a wider market.
Dan Pack, We Fly Coach’s managing director, said, “Poo’s wealth of experience in the global advertising industry and her collaborative approach make her a perfect fit for We Fly Coach. We are excited to have someone with boots on the ground that will allow us to partner with the agencies and brands that are pushing the envelope creatively in the Asian market.”
