Laughlin Constable (LC), an independent, full-service brand experiences agency, has hired Vincent Geraghty to serve as EVP, head of production at its HIVE Content Studio, overseeing the agency’s full integrated suite of production and content offerings.
Geraghty previously held senior executive production roles at Havas, Ogilvy, Publicis Communications and Leo Burnett. Most recently, he had founded GPSG Geraghty Group, an independent full-service production studio, working with agencies, production companies and brands.
“Vincent is one of those game-changing hires,” said Anthony Romano, CEO of Laughlin Constable. “His incredible reputation for building and running world-class production teams, combined with his high bar for creative excellence and his track record of doing award-winning work for iconic brands, makes him the perfect person to lead the big vision we have for what a modern content studio should be today.”
Geraghty will run the HIVE Content Studio as an independent studio operation, supporting its own stand-alone portfolio of clients, while also continuing to serve as the in-house production arm of Laughlin Constable. The HIVE Content Studio has been gradually expanding over the last few years from a campaign postproduction outfit to offering a much wider and more versatile array of best-in-class videography, photography, animation, social and micro-content, and AI-generated content assignments.
“I’m thrilled to start this new chapter in my career with the talented creative team at LC and HIVE Content Studio,” said Geraghty. “The agency’s bold ambition for bringing together tech innovations, craft, and lean operations to create a new standard for content at scale, aligns with my beliefs about what’s important for the future of content production.”
Geraghty began at Laughlin Constable in May 2024. He has received creative awards for his work, including Cannes Film Gold Lions, Cannes Direct Gold Lions, AICP Next Awards, AICP Film Awards, One Show Pencils, Effies and Clios for global clients such as Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Kellogg’s, P&G, Altoids, Samsung and SC Johnson.
Laughlin Constable has won a string of new client engagements recently, including True Value, Nordic Naturals, Good Food Holdings, North Shore Bank, Sherwin Williams, and Elevance Health, and recently won a 2024 Clio and a 2024 Effie for its work with the national non-profit, the ASPCA.
Britain halts criminal proceedings against Harvey Weinstein
Disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein won't face charges of indecent assault in Britain, prosecutors announced on Thursday. The Crown Prosecution Service, which in 2022 authorized two charges of indecent assault against Weinstein, said it decided to discontinue proceedings because there was "no longer a realistic prospect of conviction.'' "We have explained our decision to all parties,'' the CPS said in a statement. ''We would always encourage any potential victims of sexual assault to come forward and report to police, and we will prosecute wherever our legal test is met." Meanwhile, there is a chance Weinstein could be facing new criminal charges in New York. At a court conference Tuesday, Manhattan prosecutors said they have begun presenting evidence to a grand jury to seek an indictment that could add sexual misconduct allegations involving as many as three more people who say they were victimized by the producer. At the conference, Judge Curtis Farber elicited basic details about the allegations, which date back as far as the mid-2000s and involved incidents at hotels and a private residence. The New York grand jury's term expires on Friday, and a vote on an indictment could happen by the end of the week. It is possible an indictment may not include all three accusers. And it is possible the process could extend beyond this week. Weinstein became the most prominent villain of the #MeToo movement in 2017 when women began to go public with accounts of his behavior. After the revelations emerged, British police said they were investigating multiple allegations of sexual assault that reportedly took place between the 1980s and 2015. In June 2022, the Crown Prosecution Service said it had authorized London's Metropolitan Police Service... Read More
