The Producers Guild of America (PGA) has unveiled nominations in its television specialty categories for the 32nd Annual Producers Guild Awards. The PGA Awards virtual awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. The winners of the Sports, Children’s and Short Form categories, as well the PGA Innovation Award, will be announced during a new nominees event titled “A Day with the PGA Awards Nominees,” being held virtually on Saturday, March 20. The event will also feature panels with nominated producers and is an expansion of the annual PGA Nominees breakfast, traditionally held the morning of the annual Awards show. The remaining nominations for Theatrical Motion Pictures, Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures, Television Series/Specials, Limited Series Television and Televised or Streamed Motion Pictures will be announced March 8. Winners of these categories will be announced at the virtual 32nd Annual Producers Guild Awards. Additional details about this year’s event will be announced in the coming weeks.
The 2021 Producers Guild Awards Event Chairs are Chris Thomes, VP, Creative Services for Disney Television Studios and Julius Tennon, president and co-founder of Juvee Productions. The 2021 Producers Guild of America Awards are produced by Anchor Street Collective for the Producers Guild of America. Branden Chapman is executive producer, Carleen Cappelletti is supervising producer, Emily Poenisch is talent executive, and Jim Piccirillo is director.
Jean Smart, Ariana Grande, Michael Keaton among hosts for “SNL” season 50
Fresh off her Emmys win, Jean Smart will kick off the landmark 50th season of "Saturday Night Live."
NBC on Thursday announced the lineup of hosts for the season, which premieres Sept. 28. Joining Smart on the first show will be Jelly Roll as the musical act. He was also at the Emmys, singing during the ceremony's in memoriam segment.
It will be Smart's first time hosting "SNL."
Comedian Nate Bargatze will host on Oct. 5, with Coldplay as the musical guest.
Ariana Grande will host Oct. 12, with musical guest Stevie Nicks.
"Beetlejuice" star Michael Keaton will host on Oct. 19, the last show before Halloween, and Billie Eilish will be that night's musical guest.
The host on Nov. 2 will be "SNL" alum John Mulaney, with breakout sensation Chappell Roan as the music guest.
