Woman-owned production company Tinygiant has brought Sara Eolin aboard as partner/executive producer. Eolin expands Tinygiant’s leadership team alongside Veronica Diaferia, who founded the company in 2015, and Neil Champagne head of film and television.
Diaferia said of Eolin, “She is the partner I’ve always dreamt of. She is incredibly accomplished and sees in Tinygiant a wonderful medium to disrupt the industry and yet honor its tradition. Bringing Sara on as a partner allows us to grow and evolve, and her essence and work ethic allows us to stay true to our core values.”
Eolin started in advertising production fresh out of Ithaca College, first at Grey Advertising, then Merkley + Partners, and eventually at Lowe Worldwide as head of production. She joined the vendor ranks as an executive producer at Aero Film and sister company, Parachute VFX. In 2017, she co-founded Rocket Film where she served as managing director until this past April.
On partnering with Diaferia, Eolin said, “We truly complement each other and I’m confident we will learn so much from one another. We share tremendous respect for the journey that brought us to this point and with us the sum truly is greater than its parts.”
Emblematic of Tinygiant’s creative expansion, the company’s film and TV division, managed by Champagne, is responsible for the coming of age Netflix feature film Ali & Ratu Ratu Queens, which released last year, and their current feature project The Pill, which is set to go to camera summer of 2023, with Anonymous Content slated to aid in packaging.
While Tinygiant has a refreshed brand identity, created with bold visuals and a vibrant edge, it hasn’t forgotten its roots. Both Diaferia and Eolin share a passion for creating meaningful, evocative stories, working closely with directors with diverse points of view, and mentoring and developing new talent. Tinygiant’s director roster will expand in the coming weeks with the addition of several new signings.
Diaferia said, “The industry is finally ready for women-owned and led shops and while still the exception, we are proud to inspire and encourage a new generation of independent executives, owners, and directors.”
Eolin concluded, “Agencies and brands need their partners to be as smart and as nimble as they are. We can be tiny, and we can be giant. Our strength comes from our differences. We three producers have similar production backgrounds but very different specialties. A strong advertising pedigree for all, but specialties in field production, television, film, VFX, branding, and writing mean that we can divide and conquer on a high level to provide inventive, elevated, highly creative production partnerships to our clients, and steward the careers of our directors.”
