Modern Post has added editor Garrett Tezanos to its talent roster. His credits include beauty, luxury and fashion work for such brands as Shiseido, Victoria’s Secret, Calvin Klein, Neutrogena, Bare Minerals, Christian Louboutin and Aveeno. He has embraced evolving workflows in creative partnership with brand and agency teams to hone in on the intent of a campaign and discover compelling visual narratives. Outside of commercials, Tezanos has also cut music videos and feature films.
The hire comes as Modern Post expands its studio in New York, with renovations underway to optimize its in-person sessions and hybrid work models.
Tezanos said, “I’ve always been drawn to the graphic visuals and clean aesthetic of luxury and beauty campaigns, and Modern Post is truly the best at that type of work. Their talented team of editors consistently cuts exciting and visually stunning work.”
Charlyn Derrick, Modern Post EP/partner, added, “Garrett’s work fits beautifully on our roster. He has a keen ability to elevate the aesthetic of each project he works on, bringing an experienced, intuitive hand.”
New York-born Tezanos went to film school at SUNY Purchase, where he was immediately taken with the editorial craft. He landed his first gig as an assistant editor at Moondog Edit, where he worked his way up to editor. He spent over 15 years with the company, building a repertoire of repeat clients such as Neutrogena that he would collaborate with for over a decade, uniting a consistent brand tone and aesthetic with fresh perspectives to align with cultural trends. He joined Uppercut in 2018, spending four years with the company cutting a wide range of commercial projects including documentary-style campaigns for Victoria’s Secret PINK highlighting equality in love.
