Mark Tutssel, former executive chairman/global chief creative officer of Leo Burnett Worldwide and creative chairman, Publicis Communications, will be the first recipient of a major honor from the London International Awards (LIA). On October 8 during the 2023 Judging and Creative LIAisons Program in Las Vegas, Tutssel will be presented with the inaugural Created for Creatives LIA Legend Award. The award is given to a leader of the industry past or current who through their talent, vision and generosity have demonstrated not only outstanding creativity at all levels, but also their willingness to share, mentor and develop others with a focus on the advancement of the industry and creative thinking in all sectors.
Barbara Levy, founder and president of LIA, said, “When deciding to create the LIA Legend Award, we wanted to recognize talent, vision and outstanding creative contributions at all levels. The minute we set this criteria Mark became the immediate and obvious choice for the inaugural award. He was instrumental, and continues to be, in helping to develop and grow the Creative LIAisons Global Coaching Academy which sets LIA apart from other award festivals.”
Tutssel said, “This prestigious award is a huge honor. I am humbled and proud. I have had the privilege of working with so many talented people and brave brands throughout my career. London International Awards is a festival created for creatives, a show famous for truly inspiring the global industry to raise the creative bar, so it’s really an absolutely incredible honor to be recognized by such a great organization. I truly believe creativity is the driving force behind our business and I will always be a global champion of it.”
