Four K Productions LLC, a recently launched production company specializing in the development, production, and distribution of original broadcast content shot and post-produced in the 4K/UltraHD format, has just sold its first original TV series, entitled “Mix,” to a major 4K TV manufacturer.
A half-hour series, “Mix” captures the essence of the modern day “mixology movement.” The series focuses on the preparation, ingredients and the making of signature mixed drinks offered to customers at popular bars, nightclubs, restaurants and saloons across the U.S.
Kevin Williamson, Four K Productions founder/president, said expressed his pride that his company is “one of the very first–and very few–independent 4K content producers to have successfully sold an original television series to a major 4K TV manufacturer. We had to pass rigorous quality control standards to close this sale. We’ve delivered the first two 30-minute episodes of our new show ‘Mix,’ and we are hopefully awaiting orders for additional new episodes.”
Four K is also actively involved in developing other original travel and lifestyle productions in the 4K format, including: a series of automobile-themed programs such as a show featuring celebrities showing off their favorite vehicles, another following a Formula One race team, and a show about unique and rare automobiles; and travel programs centered on California, including a show about the wine country, another delving into the history of Art Deco buildings in Los Angeles, a tour of famous California parks, and a Santa Barbara lifestyle series.
