Mark Gordon, an award-winning television and feature film producer with more than 100 projects to his credit, will take the MIPCOM stage on Tuesday, October 6. Held in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festival, Mark Gordon’s keynote is part of the MIPCOM 2015 “A New Creative Excellence” conference program.
In addition to developing and producing high quality content for global distribution, The Mark Gordon Company is also an active financier of independent, third-party film and television productions via its partnership with Entertainment One (eOne). As one of Hollywood’s most prolific producers, Gordon ’s television slate includes five scripted series across a wide range of platforms: “Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC and “Criminal Minds” on CBS, two of the longest running series in recent television history; “Ray Donovan” on Showtime; upcoming drama series “Quantico,” premiering September 27, 2015 on ABC; and upcoming franchise spin-off “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” on CBS. In 2015, Gordon was honored by the Producers Guild of America with the Norman Lear Award for achievement in television. He is also a five-time Emmy nominee and two-time winner, as well as a Golden Globe winner for his work on “Grey’s Anatomy.” Some of his other television credits include the Emmy Award winning “Warm Springs,” “Private Practice,” “Army Wives” and “Reaper.”
As a film producer, Gordon ’s upcoming projects include “Steve Jobs,” written by Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin and directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Danny Boyle set for release on October 9, 2015; and “Arms And The Dudes,” starring Jonah Hill and Miles Teller, with Todd Phillips directing, which will be released in March 2016. Past film credits include “Saving Private Ryan” (earning him Academy Award and BAFTA nominations, as well as a Golden Globe win for Best Picture), “2012,” “The Day After Tomorrow,” “Speed,” “Source Code,” “The Messenger” and “The Patriot.”
