After weeks of rallying their communities and racking in fan votes from across the nation, two aspiring filmmakers, Dylan Bradshaw and Nate Norell, have been crowned the winners of the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl Contest. They take home $1 million and an all-expense paid trip to New Orleans for the Big Game.
Bradshaw and Norell’s commercial, “Abduction,” will air during the first quarter of Super Bowl LIX this Sunday as the brand’s 25th Super Bowl advertisement.
Bradshaw and Norell are best friends and co-directors. Bradshaw, a Los Angeles-based director originally from Columbus, Ohio, moved to L.A. in 2020 with no job but a dream. Norell, born in the Dominican Republic, discovered his love for filmmaking at 16 and earned a Cinema and Media Arts degree from Biola University.
Their “Abduction” spot proves that no one can resist the bold crunch of Doritos–not even extraterrestrials! Playing on sci-fi tropes and packed with hilarious twists and turns, this winning Crash the Super Bowl spot is out-of-this-world.
“This year’s Crash the Super Bowl contest winner, ‘Abduction’ is the ultimate embodiment of Doritos’ ‘For the Bold’ ethos. They truly pushed the bounds of creativity with their Abduction ad,” said Tina Mahal, sr. VP of marketing at PepsiCo Foods North America. “We can’t wait to showcase their vision on the biggest stage in advertising, as we know the spot will inspire our fans to continue stepping outside of what is expected.”
