Ataboy Studios, a NYC-based creative production company headed by owner Vikkal Parikh, has added director Mathew Amonson, a.k.a. “Nosnoma,” to its roster. Known for his talent in various disciplines (and for combining them when called for) such as 2D cel animation, 3D animation, stop motion, live action, and interactive animation, Nosnoma has more than a decade of experience working in the New York animation community, developing, leading and implementing a wide range of productions.
Amonson has directed for such brands as Oreo, Sony, Cadbury and KPMG. His animation direction credits include Ray Ban, Google, HP and Panera. He has served as creative director/EP on work for XFINITY, Fresh Direct, Chipotle and Heineken. Additionally, Amonson directed the pilot as well as the first two seasons of a live music TV show, Live from the Artists Den. Nosnoma has worked closely with the likes of Ogilvy & Mather, Creature, Buck, The Hive, Kinky & Co, and Arcade Creative Group, among other shops.
In 2006, Nosnoma co-founded Brooklyn-based Studio Nos which has become an award winning animation studio that focuses on physical animation and practical visual effects. While he retains an ownership stake in Studio Nos, Nosnoma has connected with Ataboy to expand into more brand-supported content, high-end animation and real people advertising to best position him for multi-platform campaigns.
Ataboy’s range of design-driven talents span live action, stop motion, traditional animation, 2D/3D animation, motion graphics, VFX and typography. The company’s marketing and new business is led by Brooke Williams.
