Award-winning filmmaker and photographer Fern Berresford has joined Rattling Stick for directorial representation in the U.K.
Equally at home in the world of commercials, music videos and photography, Berresford is a diverse talent whose commercial work includes an eclectic mix of projects for clients such as Fentimans, Aldi, Renault, VO5, Gala Bingo and Swisse Me.
She has also had success writing and directing short films–most notably FELL (co-directed with Russell Warren), which was selected by Oscar-winning producer Iain Canning (The King’s Speech, Shame) to receive initial funding through the arts charity “Ideas Tap,” and her first film, the short Man Made, which won the award for best film at the Women In Film Festival.
Photography is another weapon in Berresford’s creative arsenal, one which she wields as an additional outlet for her inventive eye and distinctive voice. Having exhibited her work in various solo shows and exhibitions worldwide, Fern often shoots campaigns alongside her film work.
Berresford’s work across multiple mediums has earned her numerous honors–including two British Arrows, a nominations for Cannes Young Director Award and multiple accolades at Creative Circle, D&AD, The International Photography Awards and The British Journal of Photography.
Rattling Stick co-founder and executive producer Johnnie Frankel, said, “Fern has an energy and vibrancy to her work that feels right at home at Rattling Stick. Ambitious, multi talented and an all-round total delight. We can’t wait to get her started.”
Berresford commented, “I’m honored and excited to be joining such a prestigious and world renowned company. Rattling Stick is known for producing a diverse range of high quality projects and I can’t wait to continue to craft my reel and further develop my creative voice as part of their incredible roster of talent.”
