Woman-owned bicoastal edit house The Den has taken on U.S. representation for the editors of Paris-based editorial house Ice Cream.
Working in music videos, commercials, and other creative content, the Ice Cream editors include Edouard Mailaender, Hugo Beron, Jon Echeveste, Lola Margrain, Manu Coutant, Marie Raffy, Matthieu le Scornec, Maxime Caro, Quentin Kwiatkowski, Roman Lagier, Sabrina Mazni, and Victor Badreau.
The Ice Cream crew, led by founder David Lezaun, has turned out work for Nike, Beats, Versace, Dior, Lavin and Mercades as well as music videos for Doja Cat and The Weeknd. Ice Cream talent has collaborated with directors including Valentin Petit, Romain Chassaing, Lou Escobar, Quentin Deronzier, BRTHR and We Are From LA, to name a few.
Rachel Seitel, co-founder of The Den, said, “David Lezaun has assembled a culture-defining roster of talent at Ice Cream. The artistry and skill set of their editors is a wonderful complement to our own roster, enabling us not only to increase our reach but also to diversify and expand the type of projects that we engage in.”

The Den’s current roster of editing talent includes Christjan Jordan, Tobias Suhm, Katie Cali, Ben Entrup, Cami Starkman, Jess Brunetto, Matthew Hilber, Middy, Nate Cali, Pieter Viljoen, Tania Mesta, Val Thrasher and colorist Gabriel Sanchez.
SMPTE elects board officers, regional governors
SMPTEยฎ,the home of media professionals, technologists, and engineers, has revealed the board officers and regional governors who will serve terms beginning in January 2025.
Three new officers--Richard Welsh as SMPTE president, Eric Gsell as SMPTE executive VP, and Polly Hickling as SMPTE Education VP--have been elected for a two-year term from Jan. 1, 2025, to Dec. 31, 2026. One SMPTE officer, Lisa Hobbs, will be continuing her service as SMPTE secretary and treasurer for another two-year term. Additionally, Raymond Yeung will be stepping into the role of standards VP on Jan. 1, 2025.
โSMPTEโs membership has spoken,โ said SMPTE interim executive director Sally-Ann DโAmato. โThese officers have been tasked with an important responsibility, one each of them is prepared to tackle head-on. These next two years are looking bright for SMPTE!โ
In addition to the officers, 10 regional governors were elected by the Society to serve two-year 2025-2026 terms.
