Chicago-based production company Method & Madness has added director Chris Woods to its roster for representation in the Midwest. Woodsโ career began behind the lens with a Minolta camera as he documented the skateboarding culture around him. Although his skateboarding skills never reached professional levels, his unique eye for capturing the raw energy and personality of the scene quickly garnered attention. As his talent evolved, his work began appearing in major publications such as Rolling Stone and SPIN, propelling him into the world of professional photography. A pivotal moment came when he was invited to direct a commercial–an experience that earned awards and brought Woods international acclaim. This project ignited his passion for motion and storytelling, leading him to transition from photography to a thriving career in directing. Known for his Super Bowl commercials and collaborations with brands like Nike and Apple, Woods has worked with celebrities, musicians, and sports icons. Most recently, Woods partnered with Method & Madness on his latest campaign for Dude Wipes which reflected his humor, visual style, and knack for capturing candid moments….
“Twisters” and “The Idea of You” Top Guild of Music Supervisors Awards With 2 Nominations Each
The Guild of Music Supervisors has unveiled the nominations for their 15th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards. The ceremony honors outstanding achievement in the craft of music supervision in film, television, documentaries, advertising, trailers, and video games. The winners will be announced during an awards gala at The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 23rd. Performances and celebrity presenters will be revealed at a later date.
Twisters and The Idea of You lead this yearโs contenders earning two nominations each recognizing both music supervision and songwriting. Netflix garnered the most nominations for a studio totaling 13 nominations. Additional film contenders include Wicked, Deadpool & Wolverine, Emilia Pรฉrez and The Brutalist. Top TV contenders include Baby Reindeer, Fallout, Palm Royale and English Teacher. Previously announced, songwriter Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) will accept the Icon Award and music supervisor Bonnie Greenberg (My Best Friendโs Wedding) will accept the Legacy Award.
