San Francisco-based marketing agency Tangible has appointed Sarah Buckler to serve as its CEO. Buckler had previously been general manager, global craft & client operations, for design and innovation company Huge. James Young, one of Tangible’s three founders and sole owner, will formalize his role as founder and creative chairman. Buckler has been working with the agency behind the scenes for several weeks, providing rapid leadership to evolve the agency’s internal operations, client partnership, delivery processes, and brand identity. In her new post, she will be directly responsible for all aspects of the business. Buckler joins at a pivotal moment in Tangible’s history. After more than two decades of business, the company remains fairly unknown–largely because the team has stayed true to its mission of always putting the client first and has never before embarked upon a concerted external marketing effort. As a result, Tangible has worked closely with Intuit for nearly the entirety of the agency’s existence, adding other household-name brands to its roster through referrals only. With Buckler at the helm, Tangible is positioning itself for more aggressive growth in the coming months with plans to add several senior-level members to the team this year, starting with a new head of strategic growth….
NY-based boutique VFX studio Artjail has added Dirk Riesenfeld to its ranks as VFX supervisor. Riesenfeld has worked at leading shops worldwide including Industrial Light & Magic, Ghost VFX, and Moving Picture Company (MPC). Helping commercial directors shape their vision, Riesenfeld has crafted a cinematic adventure for Heineken’s “The Trailblazers,” photorealistic animals for Milka’s “All For One,” and a choreographed gaming wonderland for PlayStation 4’s “The Wonderful Life of a PS4 Player.” His effects credits also span such high-profile projects as Slumberland, The Mandalorian and Skeleton Crew, as well as the miniseries All the Light We Cannot See, which picked up four Emmy nominations, including for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Single Episode….
