Sound and music production company Machine has hired Elizabeth McClanahan–with over a decade of experience in audio postproduction–as sr. sound designer and mixer.
McClanahanโs journey in sound began in her hometown of New Orleans recording jazz musicians before relocating to New York to work in audio post. She has worked at leading studios, spending nine years at Heard City and four years at Barking Owl. During this time, she shaped the sound on campaigns for major brands including Google, Pepsi, Airbnb, and ESPN, while also leading sound design and mix on award-winning films.
McClanahanโs musical background, experimentation and love for modular synthesis, inform her inventive approach to audio design. Her ability to seamlessly merge music with sound design enables her to craft dynamic and immersive mixes–an ideal fit for the Machine team.
Machineโs newly appointed managing director/executive producer Matej Oreskovic said of McClanahan, โSheโs a rare case of talent meets technical expertise. On top of that–sheโs truly a kind, positive, and wonderful person.โ
Machine has a team of sound designers, composers and producers with offices in London and New York.
